Funding in this area addresses needs directly related to public health such as vaccinating critical work force during the pandemic. This also included creation and promotion of the “Know the Facts Get the Vax” campaign which aimed to encourage acceptance of the vaccine in underserved populations. It also supports projects intended to improve services related to mental and behavioral health crises and helping agencies that provide care to vulnerable populations. Additionally, the funding is used to improve communication during emergencies, improve air quality and ventilation in public spaces, and educate residents about their septic systems to prevent health problems.
